Finally, I got my lazy ass busy and made an updated reference for their revamped designs. So without further ado...

Name: Desmond Samuel Davis, aka "Des" Age: 22 Height: 5'8" Currently: alive Sector: wandering Placement in society: "I don't give a fuck, stop asking stupid questions"
Personality:Stoned. This is his main personality trait. Desmond is something of a brooding fellow. He drugs himself not as a means of recreation, but as a means of escape. As a result, he is almost always completely blazed, not that this makes him particularly cheerful either way... he's just a bit less violently miserable. When allowed the chance to become dependent on someone, he has trouble regaining his own independence. As a result, he has learned to avoid becoming too close to anyone. He isn't a very well behaved man, he gets into a lot of shit, he's committed every crime from selling drugs to children to having sex with minors to vehicular manslaughter. He has not been caught for any of this, and considering his current location, I somehow doubt he's about to face jail time. History: Desmond's mother was a worthless stoner. His father was a naive but otherwise intelligent man that believed she was capable of change. Needless to say, once he realized that she would never change, he left. Desmond was not even a year old at the time. The only thing he has to thank his father for doing for him is getting his mother to let up on the drugs while she was pregnant. Otherwise his old man is dead to him. He spent his early childhood in and out of daycares and schools, watched frequently by his mother's drug addicted friends while she slept around with various men and tried to hold a job in spite of her general uselessness. As a very young child, Desmond was exceptionally bright and very good in school. As conditions worsened in his own life, his mother became more distant, and money became tighter, his grades started failing and he became a problem child. At times he wouldn't show up, and when he did, he was always very moody. By the time he was ten years old, Desmond had already been expelled from more than one school. After his brother was born, he was at first spiteful. Corey, it seemed to him, would steal away what little attention he ever received from his mother. His spite was short lived, however, as their mother died. At fourteen years of age, Desmond began caring for his five year old brother. He fell into a habit of drug abuse as he attempted to get by selling crack so he could afford to take care of himself and Corey. He wound up dropping out of high school, taking up odd jobs here and there, continuing to deal drugs, and occasionally committing other questionable acts for money. And in the end, he lost his little brother anyway, who was the only one that had ever loved him unconditionally. ETC: -carries an indefinite amount of drugs on his person at any given time -Desmond is an artist, and though he primarily works with spray paint, he is capable of handling other mediums to a degree. He enjoys mural painting. ...not that he'd admit that readily, art's for girls. -Though undiagnosed, Desmond suffers from Munchausen syndrome. If he is comfortable enough with someone to show weakness, he will oftentimes play up any discomfort or illness to seem like he's far worse than he truly is, in the hopes that someone is watching and cares enough to try to help him out. -Favourite band: Queen -Favourite food: pizza -Favourite drink: root beer -Favourite book: Fight Club -Favourite drug: marijuana
Name: Corey Anthony Davis Age: 13 at death Height: 5'0" Currently: undead Sector: Slums Placement in society: "isn't it kind of bad if you pick sides in an argument?"
Personality: Corey is slightly mentally handicapped, due to his mother's drug abuse while she was pregnant with him. He tends to come off as either far too blunt or far too naive, essentially lacking a filter on what he says. At a moment's notice he can go from a childlike moody tantrum to laughing and playing with someone's hair (sometimes without asking permission). He has enough of an understanding of what's going on that he knows he isn't quite all there, but he accepts this just fine, as he might claim that it's alright if he's a little weird because his brother is always going to be weirder than him. That said, Corey does care very much for Desmond... more like a father figure than a brother, if anything. When he was still very young, Desmond became his primary caretaker, and he time and time again saw his brother take the hit for his sake; dropping out of high school, putting his life on the line, selling his body, and anything else just to figure out how to get by. As a result, while you can pretty much say anything to Corey and he'll generally keep his head down, if you start talking smack about his brother he'll get defensive and may resort to physical violence. Once he is friends with someone, he sticks to them like glue. Or a bad itch. History: Neither Desmond nor mother dearest know anything about who Corey's father is... She has a few guesses, but no certainty, as she wasn't in a steady relationship at the time. It's assumed that Corey's father was just as much of a drugged up idiot as his mother, and on top of that, Elizabeth continued taking drugs throughout her entire pregnancy, despite Desmond's occasional attempts to convince her to do otherwise. As soon as Corey was born and she realized he was... well, slow... she immediately wished he'd been a miscarriage. Corey's mother never really loved him, and for a while, his older brother gave him hell out of jealousy... which is why perhaps the best thing that happened to him was when his mother died. Though Desmond was miserable and stressed out by having to take care of him, the two grew rather close, and Corey was finally able to know that someone did care about him as more than just a responsibility, but a person as well. He went through school, as Desmond wouldn't allow him to give up his future, but he didn't have a particularly bright future to begin with. Corey struggled in his classes, even the most basic of ones, and was never very good at reading. Notably, he only passed the third grade because Desmond slept with his teacher and then threatened to say she'd slept with a high schooler if Corey failed her class. Outside of school, he was usually left to his own devices. Corey mostly watched television or listened to the radio, keeping his head low when his brother wandered in with friends or girls and hiding away in his room. When he was thirteen years old, he took a bet from a friend who knew about his stoner brother, and snuck into Desmond's room, stealing his stash. Corey and a number of friends proceeded to hide out in a vacant lot and get good and stoned. On the walk back home, Corey stepped out into the street without looking and was hit by a car. ETC: -Corey is extremely sensitive about his height -Corey knows how to sew pretty well, considering he's always got to repair his clothing and his wounds. -Corey is not aware that his brother is in the underworld. -Favourite band: Cobra Starship -Favourite food: hotdogs, but it better be Chicago style -Favourite drink: orange soda -Favourite movie: Escape from New York -Favourite game: kickball
it's just coloured in photoshop... the original picture was drawn in pencil, and the texturing is all my hatching with the pencil haha. so a traditional/digital mix. C: I'm glad you like it!
fff loll no i only take simple colors and spash it on (i guess trad. colors makes colors look more complex /shot) but you really do great indept shading +w+
